Complete Umrah Packing Checklist

Documents

Passport (with at least 6 months validity), printed visa, flight itinerary, hotel confirmations, travel insurance documents, emergency contact card, and photocopies of all documents stored separately from originals.

Ihram (Men)

Two white unstitched Ihram cloths, Ihram belt or pins, and unscented soap for preparation. Practice wrapping your Ihram before departure so you are comfortable with it.

Clothing

Modest, comfortable clothing suitable for warm weather. Loose-fitting pants or long skirts, long-sleeved tops, and a light jacket for air-conditioned spaces. Women should pack prayer garments and a comfortable headscarf.

Footwear

Comfortable walking shoes or sandals that are easy to remove (you will remove them frequently at mosques). Break in new shoes before the trip. Consider slip-on sandals for ease.

Health Essentials

Personal medications (with prescriptions), basic first aid supplies, sunscreen, hand sanitizer, face masks, pain relief, anti-diarrhea medication, and any dietary supplements you regularly take.

Personal Items

Prayer rug, Quran or digital Quran app, prayer beads, small backpack or crossbody bag, money belt, power adapter (Saudi uses Type G plugs), phone charger, portable battery, and a water bottle.

Practical Items

Travel pillow, eye mask, earplugs, small scissors, sewing kit, ziplock bags for wet items, laundry bag, snacks for travel days, and a small umbrella for sun protection during outdoor rituals.
